1988～92年 サンタモニカ在住（アメリカ）
2005～06年 文化庁在外派遣制度によりハンブルグ（ドイツ）に1年半滞在
2007年 ハンブルグ市（ドイツ）で50年続くプロジェクト、「現代美術を街中に」に日本人として初めて選出されハーゲンベック動物
公園駅に12m x 3mの作品を永久設置
2012年 オリックス財団（スイス）の招聘によりルツエルン（スイス3か月間滞在制作
