ネリの作品には布の透過性や軽さ、立体感などを表現の中心としたテクスチャーが意識されている。
泡のようであり、河原の小石の連なりや俯瞰された地形にも似た凹凸は触覚的な繰り返しによってどこまでも
繋がってゆく。また、感覚的に刺し込まれた刺繍糸からは菌糸のような生命の意志を感じ取ることができる。
布という断片でありながら見えない力に導かれ拡がってゆくその形はまるで垂直につながってゆく時間のようでもある。

Nelly consciously uses combination of textures, such as transparency, lightness and bumps of fabrics
as the world of her expression. The tactile repetitions on her textiles seems to keep connected like foams, tactile pebbles on the river beach, and uneven geographical surface from bird’s eye. In addition,
the instinctive embroidery works convey strong will for living like what mycelium connote.
Although we are looking at fragments of fabrics, the textures that follow invisible power to spread out appear
as though continuous vertical pillar of time.
